Famous Last Words: Luka

This would definitely fall into the category of outside of class; however, it is very exciting to me so I thought it would be fun to write about. For a long time now I have been casually looking to get a dog and slowly working to convince my parents t

o let me. Luckily for me a little over a week ago an opportunity to get a golden doodle puppy fell into my lap and I jumped at it. So now I am that annoying obsessed dog mom that I told myself I would never become. My sweet pup Luka is 8 weeks old with lots of energy but is already so well behaved. One of her favorite things to do is go on walks, ride in the car or play with her favorite rabbit toy. I hope to have her trained well enough that she will go on walks and run with me without having to use a leash. So far she does this pretty well but I think it may just be because she’s so little she’s scared to run too far from me. Between me, my two roommates and my parents she sure is a spoiled puppy and she knows it. I have a good feeling she is going to be a sassy one. I wish I could say this is the last time I talk about her but I’m sure she will definitely come up again. I can not wait to look back at this blog post in a couple months and realize just how far she has come in such a short amount of time. So with that being said if anyone reads this and has any good puppy tips, training tips or any such thing feel free to leave them down below for me!

  1. Hi Carlee!
    Firstly, Luka is adorable!
Her fur looks super soft, and it's such a gorgeous shade of black!
I think it's really cool that you're looking to get her trained so that she can go on runs with you without a leash, I bet that'd be really fun. :)
And yeah, I have to imagine that a puppy as cute as Luka is bound to be spoiled when she's got so many people around!

Introduction to Me:)

This is me.... (Image Information: personal photo of me; photo from August 2020.) My name is Carlee and I am entering into my Senior year!! (Super exciting, scary and sad all at the same time) The past three years have flown by and I have no doubt that this one will be the same. Hopefully, it doesn't go too fast, as I am still in the process of figuring out what my life will look like after graduating. I had always been the student in college that took as many classes as possible to try and graduate early until I realized that there was no fun in that. Now I am trying to enjoy my last year, take it as it comes and live in the moment.  Unrelated to school, I enjoy doing a lot of different random things. Thanks to quarantine, I have gone from a place where I could be featured on America's Worst Chefs to an advanced novice (those two words don't really belong together but you get the point) in all things sushi and tacos. I also have a great appreciation for reading and even g...

The king was unhappy and hated to see his people in suffering so he went to the wise old owl who lived right outside the city gates.  The owl told the king that his land had fallen into despair becuase of their wickedness but that they still had hope for redemption. The owl commanded the king to bring his 3 best soldiers out to the city gates. Once there, the owl instructed them to each take a cistern of water and to head west. Once the men had run out of thier water that was were they would find a solution to the problem. As each man runs out of water he is to return home to the king. At last the king will have a solution.  As they set out, it was a terribly hot time of year and the first soldier drank up his water within a days time. The spot in which he landed was full of mulberry trees. At this discovery he quickly retu...
